PEBL Meditation Pod

Circular design meditation pods for busy public spaces

The Challenge

High traffic environments such as offices, airports, hospitals, and hospitality venues rarely provide accessible spaces for short moments of mental reset. The brief was to develop a modular, transportable meditation pod that could be integrated into public settings without permanent construction.

The challenge was to balance acoustic privacy, spatial comfort, durability, and cost efficiency within a compact footprint. The solution also needed to align with circular design principles, ensuring responsible material selection and long term adaptability.

The Result

PEBL is a compact circular meditation pod designed for plug and play integration in busy environments. Its curved geometry enhances acoustic performance while creating a psychologically enclosed yet non confining interior.

The structure is modular and demountable, enabling easy relocation and long term flexibility. Materials were selected based on durability, tactility, and circular design logic, supporting repeated use and future disassembly.

Interior detailing prioritizes sensory calm through controlled lighting, soft surfaces, and minimal visual noise, creating a focused and distraction free environment within high density public spaces.

3D Printed Geometry - The rounded form improves acoustic containment while reducing sharp visual edges, creating a calming spatial envelope.

Modular System - Designed for relocation and reuse, the pod can be installed without permanent structural intervention, allowing flexible deployment across different site types.

Circular Materials - Durable low impact materials were selected for longevity and potential disassembly, aligning the product with circular design principles.
